MUSIC & CYCLING · 06
Beyond research, I keep practicing, listening, and setting out.
Cycling and music have long been part of my life. They let me understand distance through movement, while solo practice and ensemble performance teach me patience.

Cycling & Mapping
As a long-time cyclist and club founder, I ride weekly with more than 30 cyclists and have documented over 80 routes across 60 counties. We use ArcGIS to compare terrain, distance, elevation gain, vegetation, and weather before sharing the routes with other riders.

A route begins before the wheels turn.
These working maps turn distance into decisions. Route shape, climbing intensity, elevation change, and road context are reviewed together before each ride.

Piano & Ensemble
I progressed from scales and Czerny studies to Baroque and Romantic works, while also singing and performing in ensembles. Six concerts brought me before a combined audience of more than 2,700 people. Solo practice keeps me focused; making music with others teaches me to listen.
